Presented by Opportunity Scholars and the Office for Student Success, Mercer’s First-Gen Celebration is an annual event recognizing the strength and accomplishments of students who are among the first in their family to attend college. First-Gen College Celebration Day is observed nationally each November.

Opportunities to participate
We will be creating many different 11 x 17 posters, each featuring a photo of a FG faculty/staff member or student with a quote from that person relating to their experience as a FG student.
The goal is to highlight the extensive community of FG Mercerians and showcase pride in this identity.
The Opportunity Scholars Program and the Office for Student Success are hosting a logo competition for the event.
Join us for popcorn, a photobooth, and a giveaway for first-gen students!
